As we enter the Season of Lent, we offer a calendar of prayer and contemplation based on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action #60. Just click the links on each day of the calendar to access new content! CLICK HERE to get the First United Lenten Calendar.
World Day of Prayer: Thank you to all who attended and/or leant-a-hand for the World Day of Prayer on Friday, March 3rd. This year the service was prepared by the World Day of Prayer - Taiwan. Between 50 and 60 people attended and this is a great increase over past years! We enjoyed “Afternoon Tea” and fellowship following the service. An offering of $745.00 was raised, which is wonderful. Funds raised by WDP support social justice projects. In Canada, these WDP grants are distributed by the Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada [WICC]. WICC is a national ecumenical organization with a mission to empower Christians to pursue justice, peace, and reconciliation standing together in prayer and action.
Thrift Number this week: An encouraging $418.20. Spring is on the horizon...
Devastating Earthquakes in Turkey and Syria: Please include the people of Turkey, Syria, and other countries affected in your prayers, and consider making a donation to the emergency relief fund. Going forward, Trinity will send all donations directed to the Emergency Global Response through the Mission and Service Fund. Label the envelope to indicate your wishes “Syria/Turkey Earthquake” or CLICK HERE to donate online.
Help Support Ukrainian Refugees: We sadly mark the one-year anniversary of the Russian war of agression in the Ukraine. The invasion of Ukraine is costing precious lives and creating a humanitarian crisis as people flee to safety. You can help. Right now, people urgently need shelter, clean water, food, and medical attention. Please show your support by making a gift today. CLICK HERE.
Trinity + Worship: Missed the In-Person Sunday Gathering? Here is the Sunday service, CLICK HERE, streamed on our YouTube Channel on March 12th with Rev David. And CLICK HERE for the PDF (written) version of the service.
