Lenten Devotional - Day 14

Day 14 (Tuesday)  

“We also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.  For while we were weak, God died for the ungodly.”

What words or phrases stand out to you in this passage?
When has your hope disappointed you?  What was your hope in?
What are you suffering?
Take a moment to let God’s love be poured into your heart through the Holy Spirit.  Be still.  Be silent.  Breathe deeply.  Imagine God’s love pouring down from above, directly into your heart.  Hold this for a while.  How does that feel? 
*This could be a daily practice for a season (a week, a month, a season of the church).  Daily, center yourself and imagine God’s love pouring down from above and into your heart.  What does it look like? Water? Molten light? Wine? Fire? Reread Romans 8:18
