Obituary:  It is with profound sadness and sorrow to announce the passing of Rick due to complications of cardiac arrest. Rick is survived by Carol, his loving wife of 42 years, sons Cameron (Kirsten) and David, grandchildren Remy and Rowan, sisters Brenda and Janice, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Rick was born in Winnipeg and moved to Port Moody at an early age with his family, during his formative years in Port Moody he built many life long friendships.

Rick will be remembered for his easy going demeanour, ability to leave a lasting impression with everyone he crossed paths with, as well as his drive and determination to build the sign business his father established in the late seventies, to the thriving business it is today.

An avid fisherman and boater, Rick never tired of the raw beauty and majesty of coastal BC, and the opportunity to spend time with family and friends on his annual trips Northward to anywhere from Prince Rupert to circumnavigating Vancouver Island , where he would eventually keep his boat on the West coast in Ucluelet for each summer.

During the winter months Rick would take trips to the family vacation home in Nuevo Vallarta, where Rick and Carol would play golf and Rick would go on fishing trips with his neighbours and friends.

Rick will leave a large hole in many people's lives, and a legacy of kindness, decency and integrity to all that knew him.

Service: Friday, April 25 at 11 am at Trinity United Church in Port Coquitlam.
