Progressive Housing's Winter Shelter: The Winter Shelter will again be at Trinity nightly for the month of March (and until April 15). We welcome back their ministry! Any questions or problems that arise, please let the office know as soon as possible via email or the yellow incident book. They want their stay with us to be as smooth and positive as it can be.
Governance Meeting: Governance team meeting on Tuesday, March 5 at 10 am in the Narthex.
Photo Directory 2024: This year, to celebrate the 120th Anniversary of being a community of faith in Port Coquitlam, Trinity is planning to publish a pictorial directory...not the expensive, fancy, and lengthy process of years past. Instead we’ll be using three talented photographers at hand: Dave, Judy, and Syd.
On Sunday March 3 and 10: (These are extra, added dates!)
1st - make any changes to your information on the paper copy of the directory.
2nd - get your photo (head & shoulders) taken by one of the designated photographers.
Deadline for sending digital photos to Zoe at the office: Tuesday March 19.
One Day's Pay: During Lent we have a practice of giving One Day’s Pay as a special offering. Each person or household decides what One Day’s Pay will be for them. This is a special offering. 60% of monies raised go to a project “beyond our doors”. 40% of monies raised go to a project within Trinity. This year 60% will go to the Benevolent Fund for support of others and 40% will go to the Operating Fund of Trinity. Envelopes of your One Day’s Pay offering are available on the Welcome Table each Sunday or from the office. Thank you for your support.
Trinity Car Trunk Sale: Sat, April 20, 9 am to 1 pm is Trinity’s Fourth Car Trunk Sale! $30 for a stall and sell your stuff, or just pop by to see what treasures are for sale. We've heard it will not rain and a ton of people will be turning up! We have a fun time...
During Lent, Tues@2211: will be studying the book Act/Fast: Spiritual Practice for a Climate in Crisis. We will be accessing the course online at CHURCHx. We meet at 6 pm, share a small potluck meal, then engage in the learning materials. No purchase is necessary, but you may acquire the ebook at UCRD. We are usually done by 8 pm. Anyone who would like to join us is welcome.
Thrift News: Keep on keeping on: $686.00.
Coldest Night of the Year 2024 - We did it together!: This year’s Coldest Night of the Year was a massive, record-breaking success, and it’s all thanks to this wonderful community who came out to walk in the rain, fundraise, and donate to support the Downtown Eastside. Thanks to the collective effort of everyone who participated, we raised a total of $112,725—and counting! That’s the most we’ve ever raised in all the years we’ve hosted CNOY!
World Day of Prayer: Our PoCo observance of World Day of Prayer will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic church this Thursday, March 7th at 2 pm. (The day has changed because their church is booked for the March 1st date.) There will be Afternoon Tea and Fellowship following the service. This year’s World Day of Prayer service was written by Christian women of Palestine. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
