Worship on Sunday, Nov 10, 2024 at 10:30 am: Sunday's service will be led by Rev David Cathcart. CLICK HERE for the order of service.

Muffin Sunday: Bring your dollar-dollar bills y'all! (Well, loonies, actually.) It's Muffin Mania this Sunday and you don't want to miss out on these tasty treats.
 
Thrift News: A great week, with everyone hunkering down for a long, cold winter, $952.75! Puffy jackets and scarves, people.
 
DOER's Meeting: Thanks to all who came out to support our Doing Ministry.
 
Christmas Market: Our revamped Christmas Market (formerly Bazaar) will take place Sat, Nov 30 from 10 am to 2 pm. There will be local artisans and crafters selling their wares, as well as our own offerings from Trinity. Swags, mystery parcels, fruitcakes, pies, cookies, as well as our famous luncheon. Mark your calendars and tell all your friends and family to make sure they come by. CLICK HERE. Thrift will now be open!
 
Greenery needed: Our swag-making meet-up will take place Sat, Nov 23 from 9 am to 12 pm. Come out to have some creative fun...bring shears and gloves. We are also in need of donations of greenery for these festive creations: any kind of evergreen bough. Please bring them to the Church on the 23rd.
 
New Envelope Secretary: Josee Wheatley has stepped up to the challenge of managing our weekly donations. She takes on the role recently vacated by Jo-Ann, who has done a lot for the Envelopes over the years. We wish Josee a smooth transition and all the best in this work. She is supported by her new assistant envelope secretary Harvey Loucks! Please contact her via her new email: envelopes@ucpoco.ca.
 
In Counters News, after many years of service,  the team of Olina & Maxine are taking a much needed forever break. Trinity appreciates the dedication of this important weekly task; and the time to train the replacement team. We welcome new counters, Judy Johnson & Betty McLean, we really appreciate you joining us. As you know,  many Teams make light work for the weekly rotations!
 
Baking Projects for Christmas Market 2024: 
  • Shortbread Making – 9:00 am on Tuesday, November 12, in the Kitchen. (3 hours)
  • Please bring rolling pins
  • 2” round cookie cutters
  • Aprons
  • Pastry “rolling sticks”
  • Helpers, workers, supporters!
  1. Apple Pie Making – 9:00 am on Friday, November 15, in the Kitchen and Narthex. (5 hours)

    -    Please bring rolling pins
    -    Sharp knives or peelers
    -    Aprons
    -    4 more people to make the pastry recipe (the large Crisco recipe)
    -    Pastry needs to be chilled but not frozen

    Tuesdays@2211: is back up and running. If you would like to join in, you are very welcome. Tuesday evenings at 6 pm in Narthex. We are reading, "Braiding Sweetgrass" by Robin Wall Kimmerer.
Gifts with Vison: The current catalogue has been extended to the end of December 2024, so you can use it for your Christmas gift-giving this year. Next year, they will have a new format, but we will wait to learn about that way off in 2025! Check them out online or come by the office to grab a catalogue.

Healing Pathways:  The Tri-Cities Healing Pathway ministry offer in-person healing sessions at Inlet United on Monday afternoons.  Sessions can be booked for 1:15 or 2:00. That time on the 4th Monday of each month, however, is set aside for a gathering of practitioners. To book a session contact 604-939-5513 or email healingpathway@inletunited.ca.   
 
PMRC Prayers: In our own Pacific Mountain Region of the United Church of Canada, we offer gratitude for those who serve and served the Canadian Armed Forces and in other military organizations throughout the world. We pray for a world without war.
