It’s Muffin Sunday! Muffins will be on sale in the hall after service this Sunday. These homemade muffins are $1 each,a bargain for sure. Buy one to have with coffee or a few to take home and enjoy later. Last month we raised over $150 so thank you for supporting the UCW in this project.
Ash Wednesday Observance: Wednesday, Feb 18 is Ash Wednesday. We encourage you all to pick up the service at church THIS SUNDAY, "Ash Wednesday Observances." You will receive a mini bulletin and a tattoo "ash cross" to observe Ash Wednesday with. The bulletins will also be available from the office on Tuesday morning.
Lenten Series - Bible Study 101: You are invited to join Tues@2211 for our Lenten Series: Bible Study 101. Tues@2211 meets for soup and potluck at 6 pm on Tuesday evenings in the Narthex. During Lent we will be doing a beginner bible study. If you have never read the Bible before, this is for you. if you have tried reading the Bible and just don't get it, this is for you. If you are just curious about deepening your relationship to the Bible, this is for you. All materials will be made available on our website ucpoco.ca. Sessions will build on each other, so if you miss an evening you are encouraged to read the materials. We will be using Spark Story Bible and any other English translation you would like to use, though we tend to use the NRSV (we will learn why). Usually, we finish by 8 pm.
Hymn Sing News: The first Sunday of Lent is Feb 22 so Wayne has volunteered to lead choir members and any others who are interested to arrive at church early (by 10 am) on Sunday, Feb 22 to go over some of the Lenten Hymns from the new Then Let Us Sing Hymn Book.

Thrift News: A subdued total, $629.90. Onwards!
UCC Lent with the Moderator: We are so excited to announce Kitchen Conversations with the Moderator, a new six-part video series coming this Lent exploring food, faith, and the power of invitation, hosted by the Right Rev. Dr. Kimberly Heath. CLICK HERE for the videos. Drawing inspiration and recipes from the United Church’s Lenten devotional, Bless Break Share: Recipes for Faithful Living, we’re getting in the kitchen with guests from across the church, including book contributors, United Church youth, and the Moderator’s own family. These spirit-filled conversations will invite you each week to reflect on how food can nourish both body and soul, and how in joining around the table, we connect to something deeper than ourselves. They remind us that around a table, barriers fall and stories flow, that God meets us in ordinary moments of sharing bread and conversation.
Return-It Recycling: We have registered Trinity as a charity with Return-It! You can no longer use the church phone number, but when you return your empties, you can ask to donate the money to "Trinity United Church Port Coquitlam" instead of receiving cash. CLICK HERE.
Healing Pathways: The Tri-Cities Healing Pathway ministry offer in-person healing sessions at Inlet United on Monday afternoons. Sessions can be booked for 1:15 PM or 2:00 PM. That time on the 4th Monday of each month, however, is set aside for a gathering of practitioners. To book a session contact 604-939-5513 or email healingpathway@inletunited.ca.
PMRC Prayers: In our own Pacific Mountain Region of the United Church of Canada, we acknowledge the beginning of Lent on this coming Ash Wednesday. From dust we come, to dust we shall return.
Trinity Prayer Circle: We have a prayer circle to receive and act on your prayer requests. Please refer prayer requests to Linda Lund (778-883-3064/linda.lund60@gmail.com).
Prayers of the People: Feb 15-21, 2026

Daniela Ulbing sidesteps a squirrel...and takes the win in parallel giant slalom. Squirrels are making headlines at the Olympics (not just Sunday Service!) I love that she avoided the squirrel AND WON. |
