Announcements

Worship on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 10:30 am: Sunday's Service will be led by Rev David. We celebrate Palm Sunday as we enter Holy Week (see below for special services this week.)
As always, we have our YouTube livestream available. CLICK HERE to access it. Once you are on the page, at the time of worship, click on the video that says "live now" and you will see the service. 
 
Thursday, April 2 at 6:30 pm: Maundy Thursday
An in-person evening service in the Trinity United Sanctuary led by Rev David Cathcart.
Friday, April 3 at 11 am: Good Friday
We will gather in-person with other United Churches of the Lougheed corridor for a Good Friday service at Golden Ears United Church, Maple Ridge
Sunday, April 5 at 8:30 am: Easter Sunrise Service
We are pleased to gather for our special, outdoor, in-person Sunday service led by Rev David Cathcart at Lions Park.
Sunday, April 5 at 10:30 am: Easter Sunday Service
We will gather in-person and via livestream for our Easter Sunday service led by Rev David Cathcart at Trinity United Church in our Sanctuary.
 

Doer's Meeting: Next inspirational meeting is this Monday, March 30 at 6:30 pm. Make time to attend and find out what's up! There's always something of interest to discuss, treats to share, and hot beverages of your choosing. Come out and play!

Office News: Zoe will be away for the week of April 6 to 10th. If you have an announcement for the Week of April 12th, please submit it by April 2. 

Annual Report News: It's that time of year again. Those responsible for reports, please submit them to the office by May 4th. Doer's reports should be submitted to the heads of Doers, Syd and Peggy. Thank you!

Unhoused News: From Rev David, "If you haven't met Street Dr Jill she is a fantastic resource for how to care for the unhoused. Here is a link to an interview by Jason D'Suza on All Points West. I've been following her on Instagram for weeks now and I'm so impressed. She's an advocate for good information, science, statistics, and best practices for effectively managing the intersection of crises we are navigating. She speaks with compassion, hope, and inspiration." CLICK HERE for video.
 
From Mary Karyula: "I would like to thank all of those who have sent cards, poems, hugs, and kind words of condolence, on the death of my daughter Jennifer. I would also like those who have let me ramble on about Jennifer. Thank you all for your prayers throughout this last year of her life. We as a family are still recovering and the grief is still very fresh. Your kind words and support are appreciated."
 
Camellia News: After a freezing spring in 2025, Win Fleming's Camellia is finally blooming. Have a look at her memorial plant as you come in through the front doors.

Heartfelt Thank You: Tom Shaw who coordinates the Wednesday community kitchen from Trinity’s kitchen wanted to say thank you to the congregation for the use of the kitchen and its amenities - especially the heat, stove and all the hot water needed for cleaning and sanitizing the dishes. His team really appreciates our contribution to making these lunches happen.
 
UCC News: The United Church of Canada invites anyone connected to the life of the church to complete a short survey on "Toward 2035", the framework introduced in 2025 to guide our shared direction for the next decade. Rooted in our Call and Vision, "Toward 2035" invites us to imagine and shape the future together. Blanket Exercise Workshop: Como Lake United Church is once again hosting an opportunity to share in the Blanket Exercise Workshop on Sunday, May 3 at 1:00 PM.

Return-It Recycling: We have registered Trinity as a charity with Return-It! You can no longer use the church phone number, but when you return your empties, you can ask to donate the money to "Trinity United Church Port Coquitlam" instead of receiving cash. CLICK HERE.

 
Healing Pathways: The Tri-Cities Healing Pathway ministry offer in-person healing sessions at Inlet United on Monday afternoons. Sessions can be booked for 1:15 PM or 2:00 PM. That time on the 4th Monday of each month, however, is set aside for a gathering of practitioners. To book a session contact 604-939-5513 or email healingpathway@inletunited.ca.   
 
PMRC Prayers: In our own Pacific Mountain Region of the United Church of Canada, we remember this coming Holy Week of our place in the story of Palms & Passion.

Prayers of the People: Mar 29 - April 4, 2026
In the Ecumenical Prayer Cycle of the World Council of Churches this week, we pray for Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia. We pray for greater respect for the Roma people and others who are marginalized and who lack adequate livelihoods in these lands.
