  • UCC Easter News: In a world filled with dashed expectations, war, and "fake news," the Easter story can feel more like an idle tale than a reality. This year, Moderator Kimberly Heath tells the story of how the earliest followers of Jesus navigated their own skepticism to find a hope that transforms the world.
"The Good News came because a small community encountered the risen Christ and believed that death was defeated, that injustice was not the last word," she says.
Today, as followers of Jesus the risen Christ, we continue to be and share that Good News. Christ is risen. He is risen indeed. CLICK HERE for video.

Blanket Exercise Workshop: Como Lake United Church is once again hosting an opportunity to share in the Blanket Exercise Workshop on Sunday, May 3 at 1:00 PM. We highly recommend this workshop for everyone, it is very well run, educational, and a personal opportunity to understand and feel the strong need for Truth and Reconciliation in today’s world. To register, please phone the Como Lake at 604-931-8555 or email office@comolakeunited.ca.

Earth Week 2026: The United Church of Canada is joining with numerous denominations and faith-based organizations under one banner, Together for the Love of Creation.  Communities of faith, networks, and regions are invited to initiate and participate in climate justice events during the week of April 19-26.  It starts with three simple steps. We pray to connect with God and God’s Creation. We learn about the realities and solutions to climate change. And we act- showing leadership for climate justice in our communities, and bringing a clear call for leadership to our Members of Parliament. CLICK HERE for video.
