It will run for about ten weeks between mid-June and the end of August 2026. Trinity Edition!

From the Good News Files:

We were blessed last week to have an inquiry from an outreach librarian with the Terry Fox-Port Coquitlam library. Janeen Parent, Community Development Specialist, was looking for a space to provide library support to people in the community who might not approach the library itself. She works in the community, meeting people where they’re at. She visits food banks, shelters, transition homes etc, to reduce barriers to libraries and literacy.

We were able to connect her with SHARE Food Bank who will be setting her up outside the building with a table and a little tent on two separate Wednesdays!

She will be able to:

  • Provide free library cards
  • Waive library fines
  • Provide info about library services
  • Answer questions / provide support for library & information inquiries

It is so wonderful that we are able to provide a space for things like this to happen. The representatives from SHARE were so excited, "You would meet many of our families and they would benefit from your outreach program. We distribute to about 180 households a week at this location."
